For those of you who do not know this guy, he is one class act. You can
order A-65, C-85, C-90, and O-200 parts from him and he will send them to
you with a bill. That's how trusting he is.
A year or so ago I bought some Continental parts from Woody, including a set
of stellite-faced exhaust valves. Recently when I opened the box on one to
install it, I found a casting crater on the angled face where the valve
seats in the head. The valve would leak there, and burn. So I called
Captain Woody and left a message. Today he called and said he would send
another valve, no questions asked.
In a desert where you had better keep a good watchout for frauds,
charlatans, scoundrels, and fast-buck artists, Woody is an oasis.
Trade with him sometime. His prices are very reasonable, and he advertises
in the Continental engines section of Trade-a-Plane.
