Chirping sound with optical cable and Dolby surround Ar 01-21-2006
I'd appreciate any help here. I just installed a small home
theatre. Everything works great but tonight when I added an optical
cable and set the dvd player (a Sony d350P) to Dolby digital surround I
get a distinct chirping sound going around all 5 speakers. Here's what
I found:
Problem: Odd chirp/beeping heard through speakers when listening to
optical Dolby digital audio signal

Tests: DTS does not produce chirp, so perhaps optical cable isn't the
culprit. Chirp appears with other DVD players and DirecTV tuner.

Any help would be appreciated. I've a new Denon AVR 2105 receiver.
I assume that a optical cable would not be the issue as it either works
or doesn't, correct?

Thanks for your help.
