Hello all,
I own a Sony trinitron model KV-36FV310. Date manufactured 8-03. About
a month ago I have noticed that the top and bottom right hand corners are
green. I've no speakers near the unit. I called a TV repair guy in my
area. He attached a device on the back of the unit and he said the
"gausse chip" was bad . Giving unstable numbers and the "CRT board"
needed to be repaired.
he said the repair would cost $350.00 for parts plus his labor and he
needed to take the unit to his shop to do the repairs.
Does this sound right?
