Hello Jim,
this is an eMail from Germany, from a non-American reader of kitplanes.
My name is Bernie and I am aeronautical engineer with almost no clue
about high frequency electronic things like antennas.
So I've a few questions regarding your article:
- what is a #10 copper wire (in diameter or in cross seqional aerea) ?
- If I nestle a 1/2 inch wide copper tape around a 1/4 inch diameter
dowel the tape does not build a closes tube. Is that right?
- If I understand your figure 1 "the coaxial balun assembly" right I
see no connection from the inner coaxial conductor to any element of
the antenna. Is that right?
I'd be very glad if you could halp me to get the antenna right.
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards
Bernie
