There's vast differences in assessments even within a neighborhood
which can make one house have much higher property taxes vs a similar
house. I atrribute this to assessors being on crack. Check it out
before you buy, do not buy the house assessed at 1.5x its value, like
some poor schmucks up the street from me did.
