I am not particularly worried about a N. American version of the euro
happening in the next 20 years.

Because Bush's strongest financial support base is from TX.
The people who have provided him the money for his political campaigns
and support the continued growth and weath of his family and family
interests are in TX.
I would say that maybe he bought himself a lick of intelligence and
recognizes that it would be fiscally irresponsible to spend billions of
dollars on a problem that cannot effectively be solved, but I do not
believe he's that smart - or that responsible.
Where do most of the people that have supported him get their money?

All of these industries would be substantially damaged if our
low-dollar work force was suddenly forced back into Mexico.

The vast majority of Hispanics are here to work and support their
families, Sub, not form a militia and start a war.

The USA is a dyanmic country and I do not disagree that the way the
constitution influences our lives may be changing.. Mexican militia
invasion? Ugh, yea...
