I bought the Maytag MDB9100, which at the time was one of the highest
rated machines. I paid $430 for it, after the various discounts from
Sears and various rebates, but the MSRP was $600.
The wash quality is fine, much better than the Whirlpool that it
replaced. I wanted a machine that had the "sanitize" feature, and a
water heater.
The racks are beginning to rust out, but other than that I cannot
complain. I performed surgery with some heat shrink tubing and some wire
cutters, and it's about time to do some more bypass surgery soon.
I will pass on the $75 rebate option. If they had made it $200 I might
have considered a replacement.
