The adults who won't bother to spend the money or time to change the
batteries in their smoke detectors are not worth the 98 cents to try
and save. When their cheap apartments or trailers burn down and their
children die in the fire, our tax dollars and Red Cross donations will
have to support them and buy them new homes.
