Sure, in the same way you could present a circumstantial case that white
people should not be trusted in executive positions, because there have
been a string of white people involved in insider trading. That would
not be valid reasoning, because such a large fraction of executives are
white.
Same with products from China. So much of consumer electronics comes
from China now, it would be expected that much of the recalls would be
for products from China.
Just take a look at the MP3 player market, for example. iPods are made
in China, and that's 70% of the players right there. (And iPods are
very good quality, BTW, as are Macs, which are also made in China).
