a stand alone power amp and stand alone electronic crossover would be
much better than this type of cabinet mounted amp.
these type of cabinet mounted amps do not last long.
however real professional equipment also costs much more money.
a real decent set of amp and x-over would start around $1500+ (new)
so you may gather from this that what you are looking at here is a
very
over-hyped inexpensive amp that was most likely manufactured in China.
and when it breaks (not if) it will cost more than it is worth to fix
it.
your best bet for a home application, speaker and amp combo is
something
like an M&K / Volkswoofer, and expect to spend about $750-1000.
for the average size listening area 200 watts RMS is plenty.
your $750 buys you something that should last 10 years or more without
a bunch of goofing around.
your BASH is a class AB amp, and so are 90% of all amps out there.
class D amps are not as clean sounding and would not be the choice for
low frequency.
