I've the Rigid 12 Gallon "5-HP" model. Just finished using it to
suck up water in the basement carpet (about 8 gallons worth).

I have had this unit for a few years. PLENTY powerful sucks up screws,
wood blocks, socks, and wants to detach the carpet if you're not
careful with it. I found it for a steal during "Black Friday" a few
years back, $20.00!!!!

I just looked at HD site, and its currently retailing for about $70
which seems a bit much, but it goes on sale from time to time.

Uses a "HEPA" style filter so it has minimal dust blow out.
