Well you are probably right on with the rear channel. The rear
surrounds are a little more difficult. You said the room is relatively
small making spakers on stands next to or near the sofa edges a little
too loud for persons sitting on the ends. What about a set of speakers
in the upper corner above and behind the sofa, pointed down towards
the sofa's ends? Some experimenting will be necessary, but might be a
good start.
I just had this same discussion with my wife too. What is the deal
with women wanting to put furniture in corners and all crooked? :-)
Don't they know the difficulties they make for home theater setup?
