You do not get too may choices in positioning. Obviously the Center/L/R mains
will be at one corner of the room and the Surr L/R will have to be on either
sides of the sofa, at the other corner of the room (either on stands or
mounted on the walls).

Don't worry about volume levels for the Surr L/R, if you get a half decent
amp it'll have levels for all channels so you'll be able to turn volume down
to balance with the the Center/L/R mains .
