If by local collectives you mean prominent commercial land developers
then I agree with you. George W. bush and his Texas Rangers business
partners played fast and loose with emminent domain to build the
Ballpark at Arliington, siezing hundreds of residential and small
business properties at garage sale prices. The lawsuits were in the
courts for years. Now there is a new Cowboys stadium going up next
door and those that survived the Bush shopping spree are being
steamrollered by a new wave of developers.
