Do you not keep copies of your mortgage balances? When I had a
mortgage, I always did. I could tell you exactly what
my principal was at any given time. With most lenders having
Websites now, this is easy to do. If you had copies of the various
particulars from your mortgage co., at the time of re-fi,
there'd be no confusion.

Again, with copies from the mortgage co., any lame answers from them
would be moot.
