You can replace the fins. I had that done last summer when the fins on
my unit shredded themselves. If the unit is older, you may have a
harder time finding a suitable replacement. My unit is is 21 years old.
A new unit would be more energy efficient, but then, that wasn't the
question you asked. I do not recall the exact cost, but it was under
$250 for parts and labor.
