A 3M product in a spray can called "Citris Cleaner" also works great.
Spray it on, let it sit for a bit and peel tape or wipe any tape
residue right off. Won't damage the finish at all. One thing though -
if tape will be going back in that location, the area must be cleaned
with someting like windex to get it completely clean or you cannot get
the tape to stick.
