A friend of mine looked at one that a flight school had for sale about
a year ago. It was incredibly cheap ($30,000, IIRC) but there was an
AD at the time on the flap tracks. You had to get it inspected before
every flight (and since it wasn't a homebuilt, that meant an A&P).

I assume they've come up with a better fix since then.
