It is difficult to pick.

I picked Monterey Sand and was very happy. It's a medium rich beige
color that doesn't really have any of the icky yellow overtones in it.
My siding came from Alside. I went with Bordeaux (kind of a burgundy)
shutter. The existing roof was black shingle. I did all windows,
gutters and soffits in white and it looked right nice. It's also a
good neutral and won't drive anyone away.

Being in contrast to the neighbors is a plus if possible.

I personally would avoid plain white. It will get dirty and your
house will look blah and contrastless. The white sided houses around
here all look like poo. You might like something to work with the
existing accents that are white and provide some depth. Working with
a third color for the front door for instance may tie it all
together. The gray roof should allow you some decent flexibility in
siding color.

I was also glad I went with a dutch lap profile on my siding rather
than a standard profile -- gave a much richer deeper look. I also
really liked the oversized corner flutes Alside had in my line--gave
the house a very rugged feel it lacked previously. Standard corners
now look so weenie in comparison.

Blue is a polarizing color, and it also tends to fade before
others. Realtors will tell you that blue houses take longer to sell.
