Can anyone here share their experience with setting up a Roth IRA
corporation (LLC probably) so as to invest in assets such as real estate. I
desire to purchase raw land, build on it, and then sell it, all within the
Roth IRA corporation. I know that there are certain no-nos, such as not
personally benefiting from the property and not financing anything, because
of UBIT issues, but it still seems like there are some real advantages to
it,
especially if one is real estate and construction savvy.
Can anyone here speak to the practical realities of such an arrangement,
both the pros and the cons. I am interested in all you have to say, whether
it be tax related, legal related, practical application of such an
arrangement etc. I am also looking for companies that will allow me to set
this up and give me checkbook control over the LLC. I intend to do
everything above board, but I think that having a company that handles every
disbursement could get very encumbering.
Thank you so much for your thoughts.
