I have got a question that I'd like to get a few opinions on.
My brother has a letter in the current Perfect Vision magazine. He
details the reasons that the idea of home theater is that the picture
should be BIG. One of the editors, Shane Buettner, replied that you
would be crazy to project larger than 96 inches, because beyond that the
light falls off so badly it loses all punch.
My brother and I are projecting 15 foot wide images with the JVC sx-21
projector, on painted white walls, with great success. You can't see
any pizelization and the images are bright, punchy, and sharp as a tack.
So I ask you - if you understand projection television - how big should
you go with your front projection image?
