Steam vent radiator threads stripped

Steam vent radiator threads stripped arthur.moore 04-02-2007

Went toi replace a steam vent at my father's and the threads on the radiator
side are all worn out and stripped. I can't think of an idea to fix this.
Maybe use JB Weld? Any ideas? Thanks.

JB is worth a try. Nothing to lose.

After that it's tap it larger pipe size
and use a reducing bushing.
