I'm a manager for a Condo building that was built in the 1920's. It
was an apartment building until the 70's when it was made condo's.

According to the Sec of States website I see where the Assoc.,Inc. was
dissolved, but can find NOTHING of it being put into another name.

I'm getting worried that the "quote" 'Homeowners Association' that
exists now, is not really legal. AND...that none of them understand
what might have been 'pulled over their eyes'.....

Am I worried with no reason?

Should they be a corporation?

There was some indication - from a letter received last year, that the
original 'owners' (3 lawyers) still own the air rights, as they never
turned over the corporation. I do not have the letter in front of me
for a quote.

I've written an email to the SOS but haven't received an answer yet.
And knowing the government is overworked, it may take a while!

Any help on this would be appreciated.
I'm trying to get this group straightened out with a lawyer on
retainer, but they are in some financial distress at the moment. In
the meantime, I need all the free advice I can get.

Thanks, Debi Scott
