I am trying to determine what the hardness of my water is for a water
softner. Maybe 5 years ago a company came out and said it was around
17. Can I use the water report from my water company to determine what
the hardness is. I would assume it may be a little higher after it goes
through the pipes but not sure how much higher. The water report shows
Hardness as CaCO3 (ppb) Average Detected 309. Also does water get
harder over time.

Thanks,
Craig
