woofer always sounds better close to ceiling or floor, tweeter sounds
better at ear level, now comes a compromise- Angstrom Ambienti in wall
theater speaker. The coolest feature being the tiltable tweeter which
can be angled down as much as 15 degrees to aim at your sitting area.
the interior designer seems to always want the speakers up high, the
audiophile wants the speaker at ear level, now there is a middle
ground to please both, even if your wife isn't THX certified.
Just installed 15 of these pups and was impressed by:
composite cone materials, high quality passive crossover with gold
plated wiring terminals, Kapton voice coil form, EQ switches, IR
knockouts, overdrive protection circuit.
installation difficulty: medium- its not the easiest i ever installed
but not the hardest either.
here is a good candidate to consider for your small to medium sized
theater construction project and is one of the nicest made speakers
for in wall installation i have seen.
