I bought a home in Feb 2004 and sold it in Aug 2005... the trouble is i
can't locate a copy of my Purchase HUD statement.
I've tried asking the bank - they were unable to find it. Maybe
because they were bought by a bigger bank.
I've tried and am trying again to get it thru my old attorney. But i
have very little faith in him, that is why i used a different attorney
for my sale. When i called, they wouldn't even tell me the title
company.
Can anyone tell me where else i can hunt for this statement? It's very
important, and i curse myself for not appreciating its importance on
the day of signing. Finding it might save me a bundle on my taxes,
according to my accountant.
Another stick in the mud is that i am right now working in India...so
legwork is complicated. but i do have a VOIP with my old number, and
an eFax number.
